Intended Use
For the in vitro quantification of neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipid transport proteins in human urine. NGAL can be used to determine the severity of kidney injury, to assess the prognosis of patients with acute kidney injury, and to detect irreversible kidney damage caused by drugs in heart transplant patients. Immunofluorescence and turbidimetric assays are commonly used in clinical and laboratory settings.
